What is CSA?

Farming at a crossroads, and a way forward.

For centuries, farming has been the heart of India's culture, sustaining communities and shaping traditions. But today, agriculture is at a turning point. Small & marginal farmers struggle with fragmented lands, heavy workloads, & low returns.

Many passionate individuals dream of farming but find it nearly impossible, the effort required to manage even a small piece of land is overwhelming. At the other extreme, corporate farming is expanding, but it often prioritises profit over soil, water, biodiversity & traditions, creating environmental harm & unsafe food systems. India's agriculture is truly at a crossroads.

What does being a part of CSA at InAcres mean?

For families, it means a bond with the soil, safe, organic food & values. For the environment, it ensures soil regeneration, water conservation & biodiversity. And Being part of CSA at InAcres is about becoming part of a like-minded community rooted in conscious living, traditional values, and collective well-being. Members are invited to farm tours, on-farm activities, and festivals, creating lasting bonds with nature and each other. We believe farming can once again be a Celebration of Life, Seasons and Soil, Together.

Make A Lasting Impact On Nature

The InAcres Way

Five principles we farm by.

01 · Farming with Purpose

At InAcres, farming is built around responsibility, sustainability, and respect for nature. Our practices focus on protecting ecosystems, preserving biodiversity, improving soil health, and reducing environmental impact while producing safe and nutritious food. By combining sustainable farming with long-term ecological thinking, we aim to create a healthier planet and leave a positive legacy for future generations.

Our Pillars

What we stand on.

Public Health

We believe the best gift we can give our families is safe and healthy food. Our farms follow organic and natural farming practices, free from harmful chemicals and pesticides, ensuring food that nourishes both people and future generations.

Environment Sustainability

Every farm is treated as a living ecosystem. We follow responsible farming methods that protect soil fertility, conserve water, encourage biodiversity, and give back to nature more than we take from it.

Farmer Wellbeing

Farmers are at the heart of everything we do. Through the CSA model, we aim to provide fair opportunities, long-term stability, and dignity to farming communities while preserving agriculture as a meaningful way of life.

Social Enterprise

We are built on the idea of community growth. From creating meaningful livelihoods, to bringing families together through CSA and reconnecting people with land, food, and farming, we strive to build a model where people, farmers, and communities grow together.

Yes.

Clearly demarcated on the ground. You choose your unit before registration, based on availability.

No. Your initial investment covers the infrastructure, and income from intercropping funds the day-to-day running. We share transparent records.

Yields vary naturally. But the harvest is pooled and shared cumulatively across all members, so returns are equal regardless of any single unit.

Yes. You can transfer ownership; the new owner honours the original farming agreement, and transfer costs are borne by you or the new party.

The 15-year term concludes with the sandalwood harvest. The project is then handed to the CSA members through a general body and an elected board, with the option to renew.

We turn the farm's produce into natural products through value addition, creating more for the landowner, and clean food for the table.
